Three days of sailing, border crossing and mountain hiking

A 48-hour expedition that combines sailing, a border crossing and a mountain hike. You will sleep two nights aboard Jabulani in Ceuta, cross into Morocco for a guided Jebel Musa ascent and sail back to Algeciras via a dolphin colony.

You travel in a small group of up to five guests. The trip includes two nights on the sailboat, a full day in the mountains and time to see Ceuta before returning across the Strait.

From harbour to summit, then back by sea

Day 1

Sailing from Algeciras to Ceuta

Meet at Real Club Náutico de Algeciras, then sail to Ceuta. Lunch is aboard, followed by time in the city and dinner at a restaurant before sleeping on the boat.

Day 2

The Jebel Musa ascent

After breakfast, we cross into Morocco. The included taxi takes us to Belyounech, where a guided hike of about six hours begins. It reaches the 851 m summit, where we have a light lunch.

Day 3

Dolphins and the sail home

After breakfast aboard, we sail back to Algeciras. The route passes a dolphin colony and we arrive at the harbour around midday.

What to know before you go

Passport and border

  • A passport is compulsory. Each traveller must check Morocco entry and Spain/Schengen re-entry requirements for their nationality.
  • We check border conditions before departure. If crossing is unavailable, we offer a new date or a full refund.

Fitness and equipment

  • A medium-difficulty route with steep sections. Guests must be able to walk for about six hours without health conditions related to exertion.
  • Hiking clothing and suitable boots are required. Walking poles can be provided.
  • Minimum age: 15. Guests under 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.

Sleeping and eating aboard

  • Both nights are in shared berths aboard Jabulani. Sleeping bags or sheets, pillows, bathroom, shower and access to shore facilities are included.
  • Meals, restaurants, standard drinks and limited alcohol are included. Dietary needs must be requested in advance and are confirmed case by case.

Practical questions

Does the request confirm departure?

Not automatically. We confirm availability and conditions manually. Shared departures need at least three guests. You can also guarantee departure or reserve the boat privately.

What happens in bad weather?

If conditions prevent the expedition, you receive a 100% refund or may choose a new date.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancellation is free until 48 hours before departure.

Do I need a visa?

It depends on your nationality. A passport is compulsory, and you must check both Morocco entry and Spain/Schengen re-entry requirements.
